# One expert with its whole instructions

`GET /api/v1/experts/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.roma.app`
- URL: `https://api.roma.app/api/v1/experts/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Read one of the user's experts in full: its name and its standing instructions as Markdown, the way the user wrote them in Roma. Use it when the user names an expert for the work at hand ("use my Content Editor on this"), asks what one of them covers, or before updating one. By id (from list_experts or get_context) or by its exact name; a name that is none of theirs is not found.
