# Connect an API-key integration

`PUT /api/v1/integrations/{provider}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.rodz.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.rodz.io/api/v1/integrations/{provider}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Connect (or re-key) an API-key integration so signals can push leads to it. The key is validated with the provider before it's stored, and encrypted at rest.

**Input:** `apiKey` (required), optional `label`; Gong also takes `secret` + `baseUrl`.

**Output:** the provider's connection status.

**Providers:** instantly, lemlist, smartlead, emelia, lagrowthmachine, gong, claap. OAuth providers (hubspot, pipedrive, google_sheets, slack) return `400 USE_DASHBOARD_OAUTH` — connect them once in the dashboard, then select them per signal via `destinations`.

## Request body

- PublicIntegrationConnect: Connect (or update) an API-key integration.
  - `apiKey` string, required: The provider API key.
  - `label` string, nullable: Optional name to tell apart multiple connected accounts of this provider.
  - `secret` string, nullable: Gong only: signing secret.
  - `baseUrl` string, nullable: Gong only: API base URL.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- PublicIntegrationStatus: Connection status for one integration provider (never includes the key).
  - `provider` string, required: Provider id to use in destinations + connect URLs.
  - `name` string, required: Human-readable provider name.
  - `connected` boolean, required: Whether this provider is connected on your account.
  - `label` string, nullable: Account label, if set.
  - `connectVia` string, required: How to connect: "api" (key) or "dashboard" (OAuth).
  - `updatedAt` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` response header.
