# Submit a phone enrichment request

`POST /api/v1/enrichment/phone`

## Request

Look up a prospect's direct business phone number using their name, company, and optionally their LinkedIn profile — enabling warm outreach and contact validation for B2B sales and recruiting.

**Input:** `firstName`, `lastName`, `company` (required); `linkedinUrl`, `email` (optional — significantly improve hit rate when provided); `webhookUrl` (optional — for async delivery).

**Output:** An E.164-formatted phone number (if found) returned via polling `GET /api/v1/enrichment/phone/{enrichmentId}` or POSTed to your `webhookUrl` once lookup completes (typically 30s–5min). Response includes `status` (`pending`, `completed`, or `failed`), `phone` (null if not found), and `creditsCharged` (5 on success, 0 otherwise). Job state retained for 1 hour after submission.

## Request body

- object: Submit a phone enrichment request. Phone lookup typically takes 30s-5min, which is too long for a sync HTTP call. Submit returns a job ID immediately; poll the GET endpoint or set ``webhookUrl`` to receive the result via webhook.

  - `company` string, required: Company name or domain
  - `linkedinUrl` string, nullable: LinkedIn profile URL — significantly improves accuracy when provided
  - `email` string, nullable: Known email address — improves matching
  - `webhookUrl` string, nullable: Optional webhook to receive the result. POSTed once when the job completes (success OR failure). Customers can also poll the GET endpoint instead.

Successful Response

  - `status` string, required: One of: pending, completed, failed
  - `phone` string, nullable: E.164 phone number; null if not found
  - `creditsCharged` integer: Credits deducted (5 on success, 0 otherwise)
  - `error` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` response header.
