# Resolve a job location ID

`GET /api/v1/enrichment/job-location-id`

Find the location ID for any city, region, or country to filter company job listings by geography — resolve location names without guessing or hardcoding IDs.

**Input:** `name` (required) — a location name, e.g. `'Paris'`, `'Île-de-France'`, `'France'`, `'Texas'`. Add a qualifier to pick between places that share a name, e.g. `'Paris (United States)'` or `'Nantes, France'`.

**Output:** A `data` object containing `nb_results` (1, or 0 when the name matches no place exactly) and `results`, the place the name designates: a country name resolves to the country, a city name to the city. Each result has an integer `id` (pass this as a value in the company-jobs endpoint's `locationIds` filter), plus `name`, `full_name`, `country`, `region`, and `type` (location granularity, e.g. `"city"` or `"country"`). Its fields are snake_case (`nb_results`, `full_name`). Cost: Free.

Matching job locations.

    - `nb_results` integer, nullable: Number of matching locations returned
    - `results` object[], nullable: Matching locations
      - `id` integer, nullable: Numeric location identifier
      - `name` string, nullable: Short location name, e.g. 'Paris (France)'
      - `full_name` string, nullable: Fully qualified location name
      - `country` string, nullable: Country name
      - `region` string, nullable: Region / administrative area name
      - `type` string, nullable: Location granularity, e.g. one of: city, region, country
  - `requestId` string, nullable: Unique request identifier

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` response header.
