# Cancel Operation

`DELETE /v1/operations/{operation_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.robosystems.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.robosystems.ai/v1/operations/{operation_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Cancels a pending or running operation. Emits a cancellation event to any active SSE connections. Cannot cancel completed or failed operations, or a running operation that cannot be stopped (graph creation, tier changes, materialization, period close), which returns 409.

- `operation_id` string, required: Operation identifier

- `409`: Operation already completed or failed — cannot cancel
