# Invite a user to a group

`POST /v2/groups/{groupId}/invitations`

## Path parameters

- `groupId` integer, required

## Query parameters

- `isSecure` boolean

## Request body

- CreateGroupInvitationRequestModel — Request for inviting a user to a group.
  - `recipientUserId` integer, required — The user to invite.
  - `roleIds` integer[], nullable — Group role ids to grant when the invitation is accepted.

## Response `200`

Success

- GroupInvitation — An invitation to join a group.
  - `id` string, required — The invitation id. Stringified because it can exceed the 2^53-1 JSON number limit.
  - `groupId` integer, required — The group the invitation is for.
  - `recipientUserId` integer, required — The invited user.
  - `senderUserId` integer, required — The user who sent the invitation.
  - `status` 'Open' | 'Accepted' | 'Declined' | 'Deleted', required — Status of a group invitation, serialized as its name.
  - `roleIds` integer[], required — Every group role id attached to the invitation.
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time, required — When the invitation was last updated (UTC).

- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden
- `404` — Not Found
- `429` — Too Many Requests
- `500` — Server Error
