# Set whether migrations run on every deploy

`POST /client/services/{id}/migrations`

On for an app created with a Roar database (its database starts empty, so its schema has to be applied on the first deploy); off for every other app, because applying a schema change to existing data is a decision the owner makes once, explicitly. Either way the owner can change it here. `id` is a SERVICE id — take it from `services[].id` on `GET /client/apps/{appId}`, not the app id itself. Requires `apps:deploy`.
