# Remove one environment variable

`DELETE /client/services/{id}/env/{name}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.roar-ai.com`
- URL: `https://api.roar-ai.com/client/services/{id}/env/{name}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removed, and the app restarts once without it — not recoverable, so if the value was a key you need the original to put it back. To remove several, or remove and set together, use `remove` on the POST above: one restart instead of one each. `id` is a SERVICE id — take it from `services[].id` on `GET /client/apps/{appId}`, not the app id itself. Requires `apps:deploy`.

A 409 means a concurrent change won and nothing was removed — send it again.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required
- `name` string, required

## Response `200`

Removed

## Other responses

- `403`: Key lacks apps:deploy
- `404`: No such app service
- `409`: A concurrent change won; nothing was removed, retry
