# Branches in a repository

`GET /client/github/branches`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.roar-ai.com`
- URL: `https://api.roar-ai.com/client/github/branches`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Query `repo`. `{ data: { defaultBranch, branches } }` with the default first. `data: null` when GitHub could not be read — offer the default only. Pass a chosen branch as `branch` when creating the app. Requires `apps:read`.

## Response `200`

The branches

## Other responses

- `403`: Key lacks apps:read
- `404`: That repository was not found in your GitHub account
