# Create Rfq

`POST /v1/rfqs`

## Request

Post an RFQ on a River market and get its River id, the handle for the other RFQ calls.
Makers answer with quotes; nothing trades until you accept one. Kalshi RFQs are sized in
contracts, in dollars, or both; Polymarket US RFQs in contracts or in dollars.
Combos come from POST /v1/parlays/build.

## Request body

- CreateRfqRequest
  - `subaccount_id` string, uuid, required: Non-custodial subaccount to post the RFQ under
  - `river_id` integer, required: The market to request quotes on: a single market, or a combo from POST /v1/parlays/build. The exchange follows from the market.
  - `qty` number, nullable: Size in contracts
  - `target_cost_dollars` union: Total target cost in USD. Kalshi: the size on its own, or alongside qty. Polymarket US: the size itself, instead of qty.

  - `obscure_creator_id` boolean: Kalshi only: hide your creator ID from makers until a quote executes.

  - `river_rfq_id` string, uuid, required: River's id for the RFQ; the handle for get, quotes, accept and cancel
  - `exchange_rfq_id` string, required: The exchange's own id for the same RFQ
