# Redeem invite code

`POST /v1/invite/redeem`

## Request

Redeem an invite code. The `signature` field must be an EIP-191 personal_sign signature over the exact message:

  "This signature verifies that I own the associated account and intend on redeeming code XXXX-YYYY to access RISEx"

where XXXX-YYYY is the invite code normalized to uppercase, whitespace trimmed, and formatted with a hyphen after the 4th character (the canonical wallet-displayed form). For example, a request code of "abcd1234" produces the substituted message "...redeeming code ABCD-1234 to access RISEx". The frontend MUST apply the same normalization (uppercase + trim) before signing, or the recovered signer will not match `address` and the request will be rejected.

  - `signature` string
  - `slug` string: Optional: referral link slug. When provided, redeems through the owner's referral link — signups are unlimited and never consume from the owner's code pool. Mutually exclusive with code.

## Response `200`

A successful response.

  - `inviter_address` string
  - `deposit_deadline` string, int64: DEPRECATED: redemptions no longer expire. Always 0; kept for FE back-compat and will be removed once the FE drops it.
