# Record a manual affiliate payout settlement

`POST /admin/affiliate-payouts/{payout_id}/settlements`

Record an out-of-band payment already made to the affiliate outside the on-chain claim flow (e.g. a manual bank transfer, or a correction while the claim path is down). Recorded as an already-CONFIRMED ADMIN_PAYMENT settlement; idempotency_key makes a retried request safe to resend (internal).

  - `amount` string
  - `tx_hash` string
  - `idempotency_key` string: Required. Caller-supplied dedup token — retrying this call with the same idempotency_key (and the same payout_id/amount) is safe and returns the original settlement rather than recording a second payment.

## Response `200`

A successful response.

  - `settlement` ApiAffiliatePayoutClaim: AffiliatePayoutClaim is one settlement (claim or manual admin payment) against a payout — the "claims" column BRD §1.4 asks the payout table to show, plus the underlying row backing GetAffiliatePayoutHistory's per-payout claim/settlement history.
