# Get WhatsApp conversation messages

`GET /whatsapp/conversations/{conversation_uuid}/messages`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://public-api.ringover.com/v2`
- URL: `https://public-api.ringover.com/v2/whatsapp/conversations/{conversation_uuid}/messages`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Retrieves the message history of a WhatsApp conversation. Use `limit_count` and `last_message_uuid` for pagination; both are optional and `limit_count` defaults to 100.

**Permission:** Access is managed by the WhatsApp service. No specific API token permission is checked.

**Monitoring:** No impact.

- `401`: Unauthorized — access denied by the WhatsApp service.
- `404`: Not found — the specified conversation does not exist.
