# Get a profile by ID

`GET /profiles/{profileId}`

Retrieves detailed information about a specific profile (permission template) by its ID. The response includes the profile's name, associated features, and configuration. Use `GET /profiles` to discover available profile IDs.

**Permission:** `Users Read` required.

**Monitoring:** Not needed. Profile details are returned regardless of the Monitoring flag.

## Other responses

- `400` — The provided profile ID is invalid
- `401` — Authentication token is missing, invalid, expired, or Users Read permission is missing
- `500` — Internal server error
