# Get A2P SMS

`GET /restapi/v1.0/account/{accountId}/a2p-sms/messages/{messageId}`

Returns the details of an A2P SMS message by ID.

## Path parameters

- `accountId` string, required
- `messageId` string, required

The message is found and returned

- MessageDetailsResponse: Complete details of the message
  - `id` string: Internal identifier of a message
  - `from` string: Phone number in [E.164](https://www.itu.int/rec/T-REC-E.164-201011-I) format from which the message was sent
  - `to` string[]: List of phone numbers in [E.164](https://www.itu.int/rec/T-REC-E.164-201011-I) format to which the message was sent
  - `text` string: Text of a message, maximum number of characters is 1000
  - `creationTime` string, date-time: The time when this is message was created.
  - `lastModifiedTime` string, date-time: The time when this message was last updated.
  - `messageStatus` 'Queued' | 'Delivered' | 'Sent' | 'SendingFailed' | 'DeliveryFailed': Current status of a message
  - `segmentCount` integer: Number of segments of a message
  - `cost` number, double: Cost of a message
  - `batchId` string: The batch in which the message was submitted
  - `direction` 'Inbound' | 'Outbound': Direction of the SMS message
  - `errorCode` string: The RC error code of the message sending failure reason

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Unauthorized error
- `404`: The message is not found
- `500`: Service is not available
