# Detach a child goal

`PUT /okrs/objectives/detach_child`

Removes a visible direct child's alignment from a parent the caller can edit, without deleting or editing the child goal.

## Request body

- object
  - `uuid` string, required — Child goal UUID or human readable short ID
  - `parent_uuid` string, required — Parent goal UUID

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request - Invalid parameters or malformed request
- `401` — Unauthorized - Invalid or missing authentication
- `403` — Forbidden - User lacks permission to access this resource
- `404` — Not Found - Resource does not exist
- `422` — Unprocessable Entity - Invalid request parameters or validation errors
- `429` — Too Many Requests - Rate limit exceeded
- `500` — Internal Server Error - Unexpected server error
