# Copy a goal

`POST /okrs/objectives/clone`

## Request

Copies a goal and selected descendants into a time period. Contributors are excluded unless explicitly selected for the copied root; descendants never inherit people memberships.

## Request body

- object
  - `uuid` string, required: Source goal UUID
  - `type` string, required: Source goal type
  - `time_period_uuid` string, required: Destination time period UUID
  - `clone_scope` 'only_goal' | 'immediate_children' | 'all_children': Goals to copy
  - `owner_uuids` string[]: Owners selected for the copies
  - `team_uuids` string[]: Teams selected for the copies
  - `parents` string[]: Selected root parent links
  - `contributors` object[]: Explicitly selected contributors for the copied root; omitted means none
    - `user_uuid` string, uuid, required
    - `contribution` string, nullable

- `400`: Bad Request - Invalid parameters or malformed request
- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing authentication
- `403`: Forbidden - User lacks permission to access this resource
- `404`: Not Found - Resource does not exist
- `422`: Unprocessable Entity - Invalid request parameters or validation errors
- `429`: Too Many Requests - Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal Server Error - Unexpected server error
