# Read an inbox notification

`GET /notifications/inbox/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.rhythms.ai`
- URL: `https://api.rhythms.ai/notifications/inbox/{id}`
- Auth: none required

Returns one notification belonging to the current user without marking it as read. Agent notifications include conversation_thread_key only when the actor can read the source and send to its existing web conversation; otherwise it is null.

- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing authentication
- `403`: Forbidden - User lacks permission to access this resource
- `404`: Not Found - Resource does not exist
- `422`: Unprocessable Entity - Invalid request parameters or validation errors
- `429`: Too Many Requests - Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal Server Error - Unexpected server error
