# Advance an OKR source-discovery pass

`POST /internal/operating_memory/discover_step`

Internal Temporal activity interface for the discovery pass (USENG-1370): claim due discovery scans and describe each for the agentic match, register the matched containers as tracked sources, or record a scan failure.

## Request body

- object
  - `tenant_uuid` string, required — Tenant matching the internal tenant header
  - `run_id` string, required — Temporal run identity that claims a scan
  - `operation` string, required — scans, slack_search, rhythms_search, register or scan_failure

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request - Invalid parameters or malformed request
- `401` — Unauthorized - Invalid or missing authentication
- `403` — Forbidden - User lacks permission to access this resource
- `404` — Not Found - Resource does not exist
- `422` — Unprocessable Entity - Invalid request parameters or validation errors
- `429` — Too Many Requests - Rate limit exceeded
- `500` — Internal Server Error - Unexpected server error
