# Cancel background wait

`POST /chat/triggers/{uuid}/cancel`

## Request

Disable one owned wait and request exact continuation cancellation. A started or uncertain execution remains Stopping until closure. MCP and Internal service calls require the signed cancel_chat_wait operation; authenticated WebUI user calls use wait policy.
