# Simulate an account top-up (Sandbox only)

`POST /sandbox/topup`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sandbox-b2b.revolut.com/api/1.0`
- URL: `https://sandbox-b2b.revolut.com/api/1.0/sandbox/topup`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Simulate a top-up of your account in the Sandbox environment. 

This is useful during testing, when you run out of money in your test account and need to add more.

## Request body

- object
  - `account_id` string, uuid, required: The ID of the account that you want to top up.
  - `amount` number, double, required: The amount with which you want to top up the account.
  - `currency` string, required: [ISO 4217](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217) currency code in upper case.
  - `reference` string: A short description for your top up.
  - `state` 'pending' | 'completed' | 'reverted' | 'failed': The state to which you want to set the top-up transaction.

## Response `200`

Information about the top-up state

- object
  - `id` string, uuid, required: The ID of the account that was topped up.
  - `state` 'pending' | 'completed' | 'reverted' | 'failed', required: The state of the top-up transaction.
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: The date and time the transaction was created in [ISO 8601](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601) format.
  - `completed_at` string, date-time: The date and time the transaction was completed in [ISO 8601](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601) format.
