# Get an exchange rate

`GET /rate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://b2b.revolut.com/api/1.0`
- URL: `https://b2b.revolut.com/api/1.0/rate`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Get the sell exchange rate between two currencies.

You can check the [currencies supported in Production](https://help.revolut.com/business/help/receiving-payments/currency-exchanges/which-currencies-can-i-exchange-and-keep-in-my-account/) in the Revolut Help Centre.
Some of these currencies might not be available in Sandbox.

## Query parameters

- `from` string, required: [ISO 4217](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217) currency code in upper case.
- `amount` number, double
- `to` string, required: [ISO 4217](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217) currency code in upper case.

The exchange rate information

- ExchangeRateResponse
  - `from` AmountWithCurrency, required
    - `amount` number, double: The amount of the transaction.
    - `currency` string: [ISO 4217](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217) currency code in upper case.
  - `to` AmountWithCurrency, required
    - `amount` number, double: The amount of the transaction.
    - `currency` string: [ISO 4217](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217) currency code in upper case.
  - `rate` number, double, required: The proposed exchange rate.
  - `fee` Fee, required
    - `amount` number, double: The fee amount.
    - `currency` string: [ISO 4217](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217) currency code in upper case.
  - `rate_date` string, date-time, required: The date of the proposed exchange rate in [ISO 8601](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601) format.

## Other responses

- `404`: Not found Returned, for example, when the exchange rate is unknown
- `default`: Unexpected error
