# Delete a counterparty

`DELETE /counterparty/{counterparty_id}`

## Request

Delete a counterparty with the given ID. When a counterparty is deleted, you cannot make any payments to the counterparty.

- `counterparty_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

The counterparty deleted
