# Create or update a contact

`POST /v1/contacts`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.revdesk.com`
- URL: `https://api.revdesk.com/v1/contacts`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Upserts a contact by phone number: creates it when no contact with that number exists in the organization, otherwise updates the existing contact's name/email/metadata. The `created` flag in the response tells you which happened (201 on create, 200 on update).
