# GET /api/company-documents/{id}

`GET /api/company-documents/{id}`

Get one document with its permission rows and privacy status. A document the caller cannot see — someone else's private one, or one they archived — answers 404. The body is the document itself, not wrapped in { data, metadata }: both frontends read it that way.
