# Edit a standard

`PUT /api/admin/standards/{id}`

## Request

Replaces a standard's `name` and `description` (both required) and its `logoFileId` and `providerName` (left out or `null` stores none; `""` is refused, as in legacy). The type is fixed: a `type` in the body is ignored. `translations` left out keeps the stored ones and `null` clears them; legacy cleared them whenever the key was absent. Renaming a certification to another certification's exact name answers 400 `STANDARD_NAME_EXISTS`. An unknown `logoFileId` stores no logo; a newly uploaded one is moved to the public bucket. Responds with the standard in the `{ data, metadata }` envelope (legacy answered the bare record). 404 `invalid_standard_id` for an unknown id.
