# Edit fields of a fiber production factor

`PATCH /api/admin/fiber/production-factors/{id}`

Edits the sent fields of a production factor — `facilityProcessId`, `productCategoryId`, `minWastageFactorPercentage` and `maxWastageFactorPercentage` (0 to 99.99). At least one is required; a key left out keeps its stored value (legacy also kept it for a `0`). `expectedFiberLossPercentage` is derived as the midpoint of the bounds, or `null` without both. An unknown `productCategoryId` answers 404 `product_category_not_found`, a minimum above the maximum 409 `invalid_wastage_factor_range`, and moving the factor onto a pair that already has one 409 `production_factor_exists` (legacy answered 500). Responds with the factor, its names and its parent category, in the `{ data, metadata }` envelope (legacy answered the bare record). 404 `not_found` for an unknown id.
