# Soft-delete a Task.

`DELETE /tasks/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://restivity.ai/api/v1`

- Auth: OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://restivity.ai/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://restivity.ai/api/oauth/token`, scopes: `tasks:delete`)

Moves the task to the Trash (deleted_at=now(); purged after 30 days). As on the web, only the task's creator may — a teammate's task the caller can see is refused with 403 `forbidden`, a task they cannot see is 404. Restore via POST /{id}/restore within the window.

## Response `204`

Soft-deleted.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request shape.
- `401`: Missing or invalid access token.
- `403`: Token lacks the required scope — or `forbidden`: the task belongs to a teammate (only its creator moves it to the Trash), or the caller is no longer a member of its project. Nothing written.
- `404`: No such Task.
- `422`: Request body failed schema validation.
- `429`: Rate-limit exceeded for this tier.
