# Resolve or ignore an error group

`POST /api/pulses/errors/{fingerprint}/resolution/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.respan.ai`
- URL: `https://api.respan.ai/api/pulses/errors/{fingerprint}/resolution/`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Sets an error group's triage state to `resolved`, `ignored` or `unresolved`. The state is saved per organization and fingerprint, and List error groups returns it as `resolution`.

## Path parameters

- `fingerprint` string, required

## Request body

- ErrorGroupResolutionRequest
  - `status` 'unresolved' | 'resolved' | 'ignored', required: Triage state. Groups you haven't triaged are `unresolved`.

## Response `200`

The saved state.

  - `status` 'unresolved' | 'resolved' | 'ignored', required: Triage state. Groups you haven't triaged are `unresolved`.
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `400`: `status` is missing or not one of the allowed values.
- `403`: Forbidden: the API key is missing, invalid or expired; the key doesn't grant `logs:update` (Write access does).
- `429`: Rate limited. This endpoint allows 60 requests per minute per organization.
