# Delete a prompt version

`DELETE /api/prompts/{prompt_id}/versions/{version}/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.respan.ai`
- URL: `https://api.respan.ai/api/prompts/{prompt_id}/versions/{version}/`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Deletes the version. Deleting the deployed version leaves the prompt with no live version, so deploy another version first.

- `prompt_id` string, required
- `version` integer, required

## Response `204`

No content.
