# Create or update webhook endpoints

`POST /webhooks`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app-sandbox.resolvepay.com/api`
- URL: `https://app-sandbox.resolvepay.com/api/webhooks`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP basic
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/resolvepay/apis/resolve-partners-api-reference/docs/webhooks/post.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

Create a new webhook endpoint or update an existing one. If an endpoint with the same URL already exists, it will be updated with the new event subscriptions.

## Request body

- object
  - `endpoint_url` string, uri, required: The HTTPS URL where webhook events will be sent. Must use HTTPS protocol.
  - `events` WebhookEventSubscriptions, required: Object containing boolean flags for each available webhook event topic. Set to true to subscribe to that event, or false to unsubscribe.
    - `invoice.created` boolean: Subscribe to invoice creation events
    - `invoice.balance_updated` boolean: Subscribe to invoice balance update events
    - `order.created` boolean: Subscribe to sub-merchant order authorization events (Checkout SDK or Partners API)
    - `order.updated` boolean: Subscribe to sub-merchant order change events (capture, cancel, detail updates)
    - `customer.created` boolean: Subscribe to customer creation events
    - `customer.status_updated` boolean: Subscribe to customer status update events
    - `customer.line_amount_updated` boolean: Subscribe to customer credit line amount update events
    - `customer.advance_rate_updated` boolean: Subscribe to customer advance rate update events
    - `customer.credit_decision_created` boolean: Subscribe to customer credit decision creation events
    - `payment.created` boolean: Subscribe to payment creation events
    - `payment.status_changed` boolean: Subscribe to payment status change events
    - `payout.created` boolean: Subscribe to payout creation events
    - `payout.status_changed` boolean: Subscribe to payout status change events
    - `merchant.created` boolean: Subscribe to partner-facing sub-merchant creation events
    - `merchant.underwriting_completed` boolean: Subscribe to sub-merchant underwriting completion events
    - `merchant.more_info_needed` boolean: Subscribe to sub-merchant underwriting needs-info events
    - `merchant.mal_updated` boolean: Subscribe to sub-merchant MAL update events

## Response `200`

Successful response with webhook endpoint subscriptions

- WebhookEndpoint[]: Array of webhook endpoint objects. Each object represents one endpoint-topic subscription created or updated.
  - `id` string: Unique identifier for the webhook endpoint
  - `merchant_id` string: The partner ID associated with this webhook endpoint
  - `endpoint_url` string, uri: The HTTPS URL where webhook events will be sent
  - `topic` object: The event topic this endpoint is subscribed to
    - `name` string: The event topic name
    - `description` string: Human-readable description of the event topic
  - `created_at` string, date-time: When this webhook endpoint subscription was created
  - `updated_at` string, date-time: When this webhook endpoint subscription was last updated

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request error
- `401`: Unauthorized error
- `429`: Rate limit error
