# Delete a public key for the authenticated user.

`DELETE /cmx/user/public-keys/{user_id}/{fingerprint}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.replicated.com/vendor/v3`
- URL: `https://api.replicated.com/vendor/v3/cmx/user/public-keys/{user_id}/{fingerprint}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Deletes an SSH public key associated with the authenticated user in their team.
Synced keys (from GitHub) cannot be deleted.

## Path parameters

- `user_id` string, required
- `fingerprint` string, required

## Response `200`

DeleteUserPublicKeyResponse contains the response for deleting a user public key.

- `400`: Returned on bad input
- `401`: Return if the caller is not authorized
- `404`: Returned on resource not found
