# Download a customer license file as YAML.

`GET /app/{app_id}/customer/{customer_id}/license-download`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.replicated.com/vendor/v3`
- URL: `https://api.replicated.com/vendor/v3/app/{app_id}/customer/{customer_id}/license-download`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Retrieve the license for a specific customer and app, returning it as a YAML file suitable for use with KOTS installations.
The license includes all entitlements and metadata required for installation and updates.

Required RBAC Policy: kots/app/[:appid]/license/[:licenseid]/read

## Path parameters

- `app_id` string, required
- `customer_id` string, required

## Response `200`

DownloadLicenseResponse contains the license yaml

- string

## Other responses

- `400`: Returned on bad input
- `401`: Return if the caller is not authorized
- `403`: Returned if the caller does not have the needed permission
- `404`: Returned on resource not found
