# Retry automation execution

`POST /v1/automations/{id}/executions/{execution_id}/retry`

## Request

Replays a failed run's trigger in a new workspace with the automation's current settings.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required
- `execution_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Retry started as a new execution

- TriggerAutomationResponse: Response after triggering an automation
  - `execution_id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the execution
  - `workspace_id` string, uuid, nullable, required: The workspace created for this execution

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Forbidden - The authenticated account cannot access this resource
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: The execution has not failed, or another run is still reporting the same GitHub checks
- `429`: The automation or organization is over its hourly execution limit
- `500`: Internal server error
