# Add or change a registered member role

`PUT /accounts/{account}/members/{actor}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Owner or admin required. The last owner cannot be removed or demoted. The actor path accepts an existing actor UUID or registered email address. This endpoint does not send an invitation.
