# Import a Library asset from a URL

`POST /library/{workspaceId}/uploads/import`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.rendley.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.rendley.com/v1/library/{workspaceId}/uploads/import`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

The server downloads a public HTTPS file and stores it as a Library asset. The host must report Content-Length. Dropbox and Google Drive share links are converted to direct downloads. With `async: true` the link is checked and the asset returned at once with status `importing`; follow it with GET /library/{workspaceId}/uploads/{uploadId}/status.
