# Test a storage destination

`POST /storage-destinations/{storageDestinationId}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://renderio.dev/api/v1`

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Writes, verifies, and deletes a small test object. Provider-side failures return HTTP 200 with `ok: false`; callers must inspect the response body.

  - `error` string

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `403`: Plan does not include this capability
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded — retry after the `Retry-After` interval
