# Record a payout made outside Refgrow

`POST /payouts`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://refgrow.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://refgrow.com/api/v1/payouts`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Files the payment, subtracts the amount from the affiliate's unpaid balance and settles the conversions it covers, in one transaction. Refgrow does not send any money here; this records a payment you already made.

## Request body

- object
  - `affiliate_id` integer: Give this or affiliate_email
  - `affiliate_email` string, email: Give this or affiliate_id
  - `amount` number, required
  - `method` 'manual' | 'paypal' | 'wise' | 'bank' | 'crypto' | 'other'
  - `payment_date` string, date-time: Defaults to now

## Response `201`

Payout recorded. Triggers `payout.created` webhook.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed
- `401`: Missing or invalid Bearer key
- `404`: Resource not found
