# Restart connector

`POST /v1/kafka-connect/clusters/{cluster_name}/connectors/{name}/restart`

## Request

Triggers a connector restart. You must specify whether or not tasks are also restarted, and whether only failed connectors are restarted.

## Path parameters

- `cluster_name` string, required
- `name` string, required

## Request body

- Options
  - `include_tasks` boolean: Restart connector's tasks.
  - `only_failed` boolean: Restart only connectors that have failed.

## Response `204`

Restart connector request success

- `401`: Unauthenticated.
- `500`: Internal Server Error. Reach out to support.
- `default`: An unexpected error response.
