# Connect a Stored Reddit Session

`POST /api/reddit/session`

## Request

Store your Reddit session server-side, encrypted (AES-256-GCM, a key held only by the API process), against your account. After this, any write (comment, submit, vote, DM, profile) that sends no cookies of its own acts as the stored session, so an agent never carries your cookies. The cookies are checked against Reddit before they are stored; a logged-out jar is refused. Free. Cost: Free per call.

  - `reddit_session` string, required: The reddit_session cookie, from POST /api/reddit/login or your own browser
  - `loid` string, required: The loid cookie
  - `csrf_token` string: The csrf_token cookie. Store it too if you will vote, DM or edit the profile with the stored session: those writes need it.
  - `token_v2` string: The token_v2 cookie, when your session has one
  - `proxy` union: Sticky IP for this account — match the proxy used for /api/reddit/login, and send it on every call for that account. Object { server, username?, password? } or a proxy URL string. A bare host:port is accepted and treated as http. Schemes: http, https, socks4, socks5, socks5h (browser-backed endpoints support http, https, socks5). Pinned across internal retries; omit to use our shared pool.

- `400`: Bad request — missing or invalid parameters.
- `401`: Missing Bearer token.
- `403`: Invalid Bearer token.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
- `502`: Upstream (Reddit) rejected the request — cookies expired or account flagged.
