# Create profile

`POST /profiles`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sandbox.recordedfuture.com/api/v0`
- URL: `https://sandbox.recordedfuture.com/api/v0/profiles`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Create a reusable sandbox analysis profile defining OS, locale, network, timeout, and browser settings.

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required: Unique profile name
  - `tags` string[], required: OS and locale tags (e.g., os:windows10-2004-x64, locale:en-us)
  - `timeout` integer, required: Analysis duration in seconds (max 3600)
  - `network` '' | 'drop' | 'internet' | 'tor' | 'sim200' | 'sim404' | 'simnx' | 'vpn', required: Network mode
  - `geolocation` string: Geographic region for VPN routing (required when network is vpn)
  - `options` object
    - `browser` string: Browser for URL analysis (chrome, firefox)

## Response `200`

Profile created.

- Profile: An analysis profile defining sandbox configuration.
  - `id` string: Profile UUID
  - `name` string: Human-readable profile name (must be unique within organization)
  - `tags` string[]: OS and locale specifications (e.g., os:windows10-2004-x64, locale:en-us)
  - `network` '' | 'drop' | 'internet' | 'tor' | 'sim200' | 'sim404' | 'simnx' | 'vpn': Network mode for analysis
  - `geolocation` string[], nullable: Geographic region tags for VPN routing (required when network is vpn)
  - `timeout` integer: Analysis duration in seconds (max 3600)
  - `options` object: Additional profile options.
    - `browser` string: Browser to use for URL analysis (e.g., chrome, firefox)

## Other responses

- `409`: Profile name already exists.
