# This endpoint allows the user to search for a TOE by a valid domain or hostname.

`GET /v1/toes/by_domains`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sandbox.riskrecon.com`
- URL: `https://api.sandbox.riskrecon.com/v1/toes/by_domains`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

This endpoint allows the user to search for a TOE by a valid domain or hostname.
The user must provide a valid domain or hostname in domain query param.

## Query parameters

- `domain` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- TOESearchResult[]: A collection of TOESearchResult objects.
  - `toe_id` string, uuid: The unique identifier for the Target Of Evaluation (TOE).
  - `toe_name` string: The Company or entity name.
  - `seed_hostnames` string[]: The seed hostnames are the hostnames used to start the scan. This doesn't include all hostnames from the scan results.
  - `toe_type` string, nullable: The TOE category.
  - `subscribed` boolean: Is the current user subscribed?.
  - `subscription_level` 'AUTO' | '1' | '2' | '3', nullable: The subscription level for the TOE.
  - `assessment_frequency` 'one_time' | 'continuous', nullable: Scan frequency. This must be either one_time or continuous. The default is continuous.
  - `hq_location` string, nullable: The location of company headquarters if available.
  - `duns_numbers` string[]: The DUNS number for the TOE. This may or may not be populated.
  - `toe_size` string, nullable: The text description of TOE size.

## Other responses

- `400`: Something was wrong with the request
- `401`: Authentication information was missing or invalid or the user is not authorized to access resource or perform the associated action.
