# Extend the end date of an existing active stop payment instruction

`POST /stop-payments/{id}/extend`

  - `duration` integer, required: Number of months the stop payment instruction will be extended for, starting from today. Note that the end date will be rounded to the end of the month. Valid values are from 1 to 12.
