# Send one test alert to a channel and record the result

`POST /notification-channels/{id}/test`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Sends a real notification to the channel's destination. A destination that accepts it verifies the channel. The response is 200 whether or not the destination accepted: read ok and error.
