# Item page, HTML or Markdown by content negotiation

`GET /item/{assetId}`

Returns the same Markdown document as `/item/{assetId}.md` when the request carries `Accept: text/markdown`. Any other Accept value returns the HTML page. Responses carry `Vary: Accept`.
