# Turn automatic top-up on or off

`PUT /v1/billing/auto-recharge`

## Request

When enabled, credit is bought automatically once the balance falls below threshold_micros. Requires a card already on file — this endpoint never collects card details. Capped at a small number of charges a day whatever the settings say, so a runaway loop drains an allowance rather than a card.

- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
