# Execute Workflow

`POST /public/workflows/{workflow_id}/execute`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://catalogapi.rastro.ai/api`
- URL: `https://catalogapi.rastro.ai/api/public/workflows/{workflow_id}/execute`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Execute a workflow with input data.

- **workflow_id**: The ID of the workflow to execute
- **input**: List of input data records to process

Returns execution info including workflow_run_id for polling.

- `workflow_id` string, required

- `X-Organization-Id` string, nullable

## Request body

- PublicWorkflowExecuteRequest: Request to execute a workflow with input data
  - `input` object[], required: Input data records to process through the workflow
  - `cancel_existing` boolean: Cancel any currently running executions before starting this one
