# Restarts the given rapids of a job.

`POST /job/{jobId}/rapids/restart`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.rapidata.ai`
- URL: `https://api.rapidata.ai/job/{jobId}/rapids/restart`
- Auth: OpenID Connect (`https://auth.rapidata.ai/.well-known/openid-configuration`, scopes: `openid`, `profile`, `email`, `offline_access`, `api`)

The old rapids are rejected (their billed responses refunded) and soft-deleted, then cloned
into a new target group. Results regenerate automatically once the replacements finish
collecting; the job dips below 100% progress during re-collection and climbs back. Idempotent
per original rapid — a repeated call reuses the existing replacement.
