# Creates a flow item that labels every datapoint of the dataset with the flow's blueprint; the dataset holds between 1 and 256 datapoints.

`POST /flow/simple/{flowId}/item`

## Path parameters

- `flowId` string, required

## Request body

- CreateSimpleFlowItemEndpointInput
  - `datasetId` string, required — The ID of the dataset to label with this flow item.
  - `timeToLiveInSeconds` integer, nullable — Optional time-to-live in seconds before the flow item expires. Must be between 45 seconds and 1 hour, and must exceed the drain duration by at least 30 seconds; defaults to the flow's default when omitted.
  - `drainDurationInSeconds` integer, nullable — Optional drain duration in seconds. When set, rapids are paused this many seconds before TTL expiry to allow in-flight responses to complete.

  - `flowItemId` string, required — The ID of the created flow item.
