# Add contacts to a list

`POST /contact-lists/{id}/contacts`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.supersendtx.com`
- URL: `https://api.supersendtx.com/contact-lists/{id}/contacts`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Identify contacts by `contact_ids`, by `emails`, or both. Addresses we have never seen come back in `not_found`.

- ContactListMembershipRequest
  - `contact_ids` string[]
  - `emails` string[]

## Response `200`

Membership updated

- AddContactListMembersResponse
  - `added` integer, required
  - `contact_count` integer, required: Size of the list after the change
  - `not_found` string[], required: Addresses that do not match a contact on this account

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: Contact list not found
